Outreach and Partnerships

Beyond the Studio. . .

Steps on Broadway is part of a larger community, defined both artistically and geographically. Utilizing the many artistic assets Steps has at its disposal, it has created partnerships with various organizations:

JASA – Senior Citizen Center located on West 76th. Steps creates dance and music programming for their cultural series.

NYCDA – A long-time sponsor offering scholarships to dancers from around the country, in 2011, Steps became a founding sponsor of the NYCDA College Scholarship Fund.

Dancers Responding to AIDS – Every year Steps and its faculty raise money for World AIDS Week.

Conventions – Steps offers scholarships to many national and international dance conventions.

Global Arts Initiative (GAIN) – An international arts education organization that has collaborated with the Steps Repertory Ensemble in South Africa.
