Kim Abel

Kim trained at the Joffrey School (American Ballet Center) and with Maggie Black in New York City. She danced with the Eglevsky Ballet under Artistic Directors: Edward Villella, Michael Vernon, Jane Miller and Andre Eglevsky; she was also the company's Rehearsal Assistant. She was Ballet Mistress with The Pennsylvania and Milwaukee Ballet under the Artistic Directorship of Robert Weiss, North Carolina Dance Theater under Sal Aiello and Ballet Oklahoma under the Artistic Directorship of Edward Villella. BALLET Kim Abel's class is geared toward the working professional ballet dancer, but is also suitable for the professional modern dancer with substantial ballet training and for advanced students. A number of professionals attending her class will be dancers returning from injuries who have been recommended by NYC physical therapists. The class is structured around working in an intelligent, anatomical manner to achieve a naturalness of movement and develop the dancer's own unique personality. It also a class capable of strengthening a dancer's performance capabilities.
