Kathleen received a Ford Foundation Scholarship to the School of American Ballet at the age of 13. She trained at the Washington School of Ballet with Mary Day, the Joffrey School of Ballet and at the New York State Dance Program in Saratoga, NY under the direction of Melissa Hayden.
She danced in 20 countries across four continents as a principal dancer with Miami City Ballet, Ballet Du Nord, Garden State Ballet, Baltimore Ballet, and North Carolina Dance Theatre. Kathleen also danced in the 50th Anniversary tour of
Oklahoma and in tours of
Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,
Evita,
A Chorus Line and Sweet Charity. Her film and television work includes roles in ABC-TV's "All My Children" and Steve Binder's feature film
Melissa which she also choreographed.
She has taught at the American Musical & Dramatic Academy, Ballet Academy East and Ballet Arts of Southern Westchester in New York, and at the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Michigan. She is also a certified Pilates instructor and teaches at Equinox in NYC.
BALLET Class Description:
Kathleen's class has a reputation for challenging all levels. The emphasis is on clean classical technique with very neat footwork and strong musicality.
