Dancer/choreographer Linda Gold has performed with the Cincinnati Ballet Company, Wolf Trap Company, Contemporary Dance Theater, Dance/LA, the Historic Dances of Ruth St. Denis, Carillon Festivals, Spirit Dances, From the Horses Mouth, The World Festival of Sacred Music, and her own Concert Ensemble. International tours have won critical praise and the N.Y. Times described her work as "having the scale of an epi.c. Master teacher/guest artist in the U.S. and abroad, she has received numerous grants for her creative work, presented papers at scholarly conferences, adjudicated dance and film competitions, and is currently developing new works for Linda Gold-Dance. Professor Gold was founder/director of the Santa Monica College Dance Program (now Department), Dance Mentor, and Artistic Director of the SMC Contemporary Dance Ensemble (Synapse). She has a BFA from the University of Cincinnati, a MA from UCLA, and is completing her Doctorate of Arts in Dance at the Theater Academy, one of the four art universities in Finland.
