Liz Beres, a proud Wisconsinite, first fell into yoga while earning her BFA in Dance at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Six years after that inaugural class with TaraMarie Perri, Liz completed her certification with TaraMarie through the Mind Body Dancer® 200 Yoga Teacher Training. Through this comprehensive yoga teacher training, she was certified at the 200-hour level to teach alignment-based, breath-focused, mindful Vinyasa. Liz teaches regularly at Oval Fitness in Stuyvesant Town and at various luxury buildings throughout Manhattan. Other guest teaching opportunities include the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Goldman Sachs, Mark Morris Dance Center, and Dance New Amsterdam.
As a dancer, Liz has performed for Elisa Monte Dance, Jamal Jackson Dance Company, Spirit Productions, ChristinaNoel & The Creature, Sarah Council Dance Projects, Naomi Goldberg Haas's Dances For a Variable Population, and skybetter and associates, among others. Recent regional credits include WEST SIDE STORY (Consuela) and SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER (Ensemble, u/s Annette). Her own work has been presented in NYC at Joe's Pub through DanceNOW[NYC]'s Dancemopolitan series, 92nd Street Y Harkness Dance Center's Fridays at Noon program, NYU's Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, and Columbia University.
All yoga classes taught by TaraMarie Perri and Mind Body Dancer® teachers are rooted in a safe, alignment-based, breath-focused, mindful-flow style and are appropriate for anybody interested in cultivating sustainable pathways of the body and mind. Classes are thoughtful and detailed, educational and expressive, as they flowingly pair energetic imagery and anatomical themes. New practitioners create stable foundations, experienced yogis refine and re-connect, and those in between explore and experiment within the range of your body and mind's remarkable capacity.

Yoga with Mind Body Dancer®, as developed by TaraMarie Perri, is a curriculum specifically designed to complement rigorous performance training. Yoga postures sequenced with breathwork invigorate, strengthen and soothe students' bodies and minds. Students' investigation of their individual alignment will cultivate sustainable movement pathways, heal old injuries and prevent new ones. The Mind Body Dancer® yoga curriculum specializes in conditioning and harmonizing a performer's physical instrument with mental awareness. Building on performers' kinetic intelligence and keen presence, Mind Body Dancer's yoga classes facilitate technical advancement, creative expression and fulfilling performance experience.
