Pam Lenker has officially become an east coaster after performing, choreographing, and teaching for many years on the west coast. Recently, Pam premiered Ray Hesselink's piece "Red Hot" in Summerstage's On Tap! In the past two years, she has performed original works in the New York City Tap Festival Main Event and the New York City Tap Extravaganza, and has danced at the Don't Tell Mama Cabaret off Times Square. In Seattle, she had the honor of performing choreography by Savion Glover at the Paramount Theater. Other featured tap roles include Johnson and Peters' A Tap Dance Christmas Carol, the Masters of Lindy Hop and Tap at the Century Ballroom, and improvisational tap solos in Black Nativity at the Tony-Award winning Intiman Theater. Pam was a founding member of tap companies Sophisticated Sounds and SLURP, both currently based in New York City. Her choreography has been recognized for its musicality and unique conceptual themes. Recent choreography credits include a music video for Nordstrom showcasing their spring line, and a production of Thoroughly Modern Millie at the award winning Rising Stars Children's Theater in Riverdale, NY. Pam teaches workshops and works as a choreographer and performer on both coasts.
