Patricia Lockery
Inspired by the American Movie Musical, Patricia & her sister Lesley have founded "NYC's Dance Makers", a non profit Musical Theatre organization which offers workshops, seminars & a venue to bring film choreography to the stage. Dance Makers' mission is to preserve the choreography of Hollywood Musicals & Television Variety Shows by collaborating with original choreographers and industry professionals to reconstruct numbers placing equal emphasis on accuracy and integrity.

Patricia choreographed for Liza Minnelli and Tony Danza on the "Tony Danza Show" for ABC, assisted Director/Choreographer Karin Baker on Star Spangled Rhythm and Peter Gennaro on Singin' In The Rain. As a performer, some of her shows include The NYC Opera Production of The Most Happy Fella (Lincoln Center), A Day In Hollywood/A Night In the Ukraine as Mascha the maid and the Famous Dancing Feet, 42nd Street (Original Production), My One And Only, and Funny Girl & Annie directed by Terrance Mann. Patricia was dance captain for Gershwin's Lady Be Good, choreographed by Dan Siretta, in which she also understudied and performed the role of Susie Trevor, and the Goodspeed Opera House production of Fiorello. She has been a featured dancer in the productions of Ankles Aweigh and American Snap.

Patricia's NYC teaching credits include theatre dance classes at The American Dance Machine, Marymount College, Steps on Broadway, Luigi's Jazz Center and the Tap Choreography Workshop at AMDA. One of her favorite experiences was performing a tap routine with her sister Lesley and Broadway veteran Helen Gallagher, in the Broadway Cares Tribute to Helen Hayes in NYC.

As Artistic Director for "NYC's Dance Makers", Patricia recently engaged the company for a week long series of performances entitled "Gotta Dance" at the Hudson Guild Theater, NYC in June 2008 which received rave reviews.
