Amber Efé
Dance Training:
Amber Efé has studied and worked with a number of dance greats including the late Gregory Hines, Chuck Davis and Tony Award winning choreographers Bill T. Jones and Jerry Mitchell. She is an alumna of the North Atlanta High School for the Performing Arts, the Broadway Theatre Project, The School at Jacob's Pillow and former captain of the Howard University Bisonettes.
Performance/Company Affiliations:
A "triple threat" musical theatre performer, Amber Efé's credits include originating the role of "The Judge" in the Broadway company of Legally Blonde: The Musical, "The DJ" and dance captain of Will Power's The Seven (New York Theatre Workshop), "Lorrell" in Dreamgirls (Arkansas Repertory Theatre), "Taddy Jo" in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (Actors' Fund Benefit Concert), dance captain of Damn Yankees (Lucille Lortel/Amas), "Omana" in Iken's Perversion (New Center Stages), "Misa" in ABK...for Life (Columbia Stages) and "Southern Spirit" in the opening and closing ceremonies of the centennial Olympic Games. She received an AUDELCO Award nomination for her debut performance as "LaLa" and dance captain of the Off-Broadway production of Diss Diss & Diss Dat (New Federal Theatre).
Choreographic Experience:
Amber Efé's choreography credits include BlackFootNotes (Ensemble Studio Theatre) and HUE (Primary Stages).
Teaching Experience:
Amber Efé's expertise and classes have been featured by CNN's "The Flip Side", NBC's "Weekend TODAY" and "Your Total Health with Hoda Kotb", MSNBC's "Countdown with Keith Olbermann", "Blind Date", "The WB11 Morning News", NIKE, Coca-Cola, Nordstrom, BET.com, XM Satellite Radio, Reader's Digest, SHAPE, fitness and SELF magazines. She is on the faculty of The School at Steps on Broadway and a featured artist of the National Black Arts Festival's Children's Education Village. A true fitness enthusiast, Amber Efé has been a certified fitness professional since the age of seventeen and developed the new template for Gospel Aerobics, a signature class at CRUNCH Fitness.

Amber Efé is former beauty and accessories editor of UPTOWN magazine, a lifestyle publication that caters to the urban elite. Amber received her BA in journalism with minors in French and history summa cum laude with a 4.0 cumulative grade point average from Howard University. She has been recognized as a National Achievement Scholar, Patricia Roberts Harris Public Affairs Fellow and an ABC News - Nightline Fellow. Amber is an active member of the Actors' Equity Association, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the New York Junior League.
