A native of La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico, Gabriela is currently Dance Captain for the
Broadway Company of Chicago the Musical. She has taught classical ballet and jazz in schools
across Germany, Austria and Mexico. She has danced with Ballet Clasico Cabañas and Balletteatro
Contemporaneo in Mexico, Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle and Tanzforum der Oper Koeln in
Cologne, Germany. She has assisted Ms. Ann Reinking with Master Classes at Joffrey Ballet
School and Steps. Her musical theater credits include West Side Story, Joseph and the Amazing
Technicolor Dreamcoat, Carousel and the Vienna, and Mexico City companies of Chicago where
she played the role of Velma Kelly in their original language. Gabriela staged the Dusseldorf
Company of Chicago and dance captained both US National tours and the Broadway Company.
