Patricia Lockery


Patricia Lockery is a member of Actors' Equity Association and Screen Actors' Guild of America. She has recently choreographed for Liza Minnelli and Tony Danza on the Tony Danza Show for ABC, and was assistant to Director/Choreographer Karin Baker on the musical revue Star Spangled Rhythm.

She has performed in the New York City Opera Production of The Most Happy Fella at Lincoln Center. She has toured with the 1st national Companies of: Tommy Tune's A Day In Hollywood/ A Night In the Ukraine as Mascha the maid and the famous dancing feet, 42nd Street (original production) with Dolores Grey and Barry Nelson, and assisted choreographer Peter Gennaro on Singin' In the Rain.

Patricia has been dance captain for Gershwin's Lady Be Good, choreographed by Dan Siretta, in which she also understudied and performed the role of Susie Trevor, and the Goodspeed Opera House production of Fiorello. She has been a featured dancer in the productions of Ankles Away and American Snap. Other shows include: Funny Girl and Annie (directed by Terence Mann), My One and Only, Guys and Dolls, a nightclub revue at Club Ibis, NYC, and Bugs Bunny in Space as Wonder Woman. One of her favorite experiences was performing a solo tap routine with her sister Lesley J. Lockery and Broadway veteran performer and Tony Award winner Helen Gallagher in Broadway Cares Tribute to Helen Hayes in New York City.

Teaching credits include: theatre dance classes for Lee Theodore's The American Dance Machine, NYC; tap classes for Steps on Broadway, NYC; jazz classes at Luigi's Jazz Centre, NYC; theatre dance classes at New Dance Group, assistant to Luigi at dance conventions, and jazz teacher on staff at Princeton Ballet School, NJ. Patricia also teaches theatre dance and tap classes at various private workshops across the country alongside her sister, Lesley J. Lockery.

Preservation of the choreographic styles of the American musical theatre and movie musicals.
A unique combination of dance elements that form the backbone of theatre dance, such as: The Vaudeville Era, Latin, and styles of the 1920's, 30's, 40's, etc.
Combinations done to a myriad of music from Broadway and movie musicals to Latin & Blues.
A fun, high energy class!
