Barbara Russo

Barbara Russo has had the privilege of working with artists such as David Dorfman, Bebe Miller, and Thaddeus Davis; was a soloist in pieces by Donald McKayle (Rainbow Etude), Trinette Singleton (Eclectic Waltz), and Antony Tudor (Dark Elegies); and has performed works by Bill T. Jones and David Parsons. She received her BA in Dance and Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis and received the Ian D. W. Cramer Award for outstanding achievement in dance. Barbara has also trained at Steps on Broadway, Dance New Amsterdam, The Ailey School, The Taylor School, and Dance Innovations. She has performed with Wylliams/Henry Danse Theatre, The Slaughter Project, Dance St. Louis' Contemporary Moves, and at American College Dance Festival galas. She is currently dancing with the Next Stage Project and is completing her certification in the Simonson technique.
