Donna Salgado earned a BFA in Dance Performance from Towson University and a MFA in Dance
Performance and Teaching from Purchase College, State University of New York, while on
scholarship. She received her classical training under Tatjana Akinfieva-Smith and Elena
Manakhova, and has attended intensive programs with the American Ballet Theatre, Paul Taylor
Dance Company and the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. Donna was a recent participant in
Alonzo King's LINES Ballet Professional Workshop. She has performed with the Eastern Shore
Ballet Theatre, TU Dance Company, and the ad hoc Ballet. Her teaching credits include Towson
University Children's Dance Division, Salisbury Studio of Dance, Camp Odyssey, Ballet des
Enfants, and Purchase College. Her most proud accomplishments include staging four solo
concerts, featuring three reconstructions and five commissioned world premieres.
