Max Stone
"A combination of Ballet, Jazz and Modern Techniques in a set warm-up design;
emphasis on transitional and lyrical qualities"
Neil Simon's Broadway production of "They're playing our Song" initiated Max Stone's
professional career, where he also assisted choreographer Pat Birch. He was offered a
teaching position at the Balletakademien in Stockholm, Sweden in 1986, where he honed his
skills as a teacher and choreographer. He also worked with Montreal, Canada's Cirque du Soleil
and is currently the director of the "New York Dance Exchange", an international workshop series.
Mr. Stone has resided in New York City since 1990 and is on the faculty of Steps and Dancespace Inc.,
and continues to choreograph and teach both in New York and abroad.
