Amanda has performed and taught all over the world, from Israel to London, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Austria,
Canada, and the United States. After performing internationally as a ballet soloist (Israel National Ballet,
Munich Ballet, Vienna Festival Ballet and others), she moved into the world of Musical Theater where credits
include: The Phantom of the Opera (solo dancer), Jekyll & Hyde, Little Me, West Side Story,
Evita, Beauty & the Beast, Hello Dolly! and Damn Yankees.
Amanda has also performed in plays including Becket and A Midsummer Night's Dream, and
has been seen dancing on television in the UK (The Ghosts of Oxford Street) and on TV commercials here in the U.S.
Amanda has choreographed for MTV in London, and created the revived choreography for the John Godber
play Bouncers to the acclaim of the author. She has also taught televised master classes for
Lifetime TV in New York and the BBC in England.
As a teacher, Amanda has the unique ability to teach both professional ballet and jazz styles. Her
specialized area is Musical Theater, where she is a stickler for style and detail, particularly the Fosse style.
Now a choreographer in her own right, Amanda is currently working on her own original material in
collaboration with composer Nick Moore for her upcoming dance company.
Class Description
Students are taught in nurturing and positive environment where personality and confidence are
encouraged. Warm up consists of a technical jazz/modern/ballet format layered with style.
There is a strong emphasis on isolations, arms and posture. Across the floor consists of battlements,
turn combinations (technical and stylized), stylized walks, and traveling isolations. Interactive
work is also incorporated, as is staging and working as an ensemble. Combinations include Musical
Theater repertoire and new choreography. Many of Amanda's students have secured dance scholarships
or are currently performing in workshops, regional theater and major productions on tour and on Broadway.
