GLOBAL ARTS INITIATIVE (GAIN) is a network outreach program that provides alternative arts-based education to children residing in city slums overseas. Workshops in dance, drama, music and the visual arts are offered through a collaborative effort between U.S. mentors (professionals & college students) and indigenous artists and teachers. Once administrative skills are taught and local support is secured in each location, GAIN constructs permanent centers that are self-sustaining and open year round.

The audition for the 2008-2009 season will be held on Saturday September 6th at 6:30pm.

The selection committee is comprised of Steps faculty and the Steps Repertory Ensemble Director. Dancers auditioning should be at an advanced level. Applicants must be 18 years old to apply.

Please sign-in on the day of the audition no later than 6:00pm. Walk-ins will not be accepted any later than 6:00pm. Bring, ballet & character shoes.
