The Lab Series provides an opportunity for emerging and established artists from all live performance disciplines to experiment and experience their work in front of an audience.

Derick Grant (Tap Faculty) has become the spokesperson for So Danca Tap shoes.

Brice Mousset's (Contemporary Faculty) company will be performing "W", a new piece with 6 women about beauty and complexity on 2/7 at the Steps' Performance Lab and on 2/20 & 2/21 @ 8pm at the Uptown Dance Performances. Congratulations to Tamar Kali (Belly Dance Faculty) and 3 students from her class at Steps who performed on 1/21 at Je'Bon in NYC.

Barbara Duffy & Derick K. Grant (Tap Faculty) will be choreographing & performing on 2/18 @ 7:00pm at the American Tap Dance Festival's 4th Annual Fundraiser. On 2/19 @ 8pm Barbara Duffy & Company will perform Stages directed by Barbara Duffy & Tony Stevens (Theater Dance Faculty) and Derek Roland will perform Time Step a comedy about three hoofers as part of Sound Check: A Tap Dance Concert Series. Dawn Hillen (Ballet Faculty) will be a guest teacher at the"Authentalk" workshop produced by LifeCamp.com in L.A. with Greg Mooers. LifeCamp has produced "New Beginnings-Guided Rainbow Meditation and Yoga with Dawn Hillen", a CD geared toward aligning body, mind and spirit. Finally, Dawn will be teaching master classes and judging for Dance Masters of America from 3/13-3/16.
