• To register for Young Dancers and Technique classes, complete the appropriate Academic Year registration form. For the Pre-Professional Program, complete the audition form and select an audition date.
• Completed forms may be dropped off at The School at Steps Administrative Office, mailed, or faxed.
• Registration is not considered final until the form is completed and payment is received in full. Incomplete Registration/ Agreement forms will not be processed.
• All applications are considered in the order received.
• If the class or classes requested are not available, you will be notified of alternative classes and/or placed on a waiting list for an opening.
• If an in-person meeting is required, you may call or email the school for an appointment.
• Tuition and fees may be paid by check, cash, MasterCard or Visa. Tuition and registration fee must be paid in full before the student is considered registered. Tuition information for each program is listed on the appropriate Registration Forms.

ADDITIONAL FEES

• Registration Fee - $55.00 (valid September - August)
• Showcase Participation Fee - Pre-Professional repertory classes and other select upper-level technique classes participate in the end of the year showcase held annually at the John Jay College Theater. The Showcase Participation Fee covers a small portion of showcase production costs and is non-refundable.
• Placement Class - $35.00
• Returned Check Fee - $35.00

REFUNDS
Full tuition will be refunded only if written notification from the parent is received within 24 hours of the first class. A 75% refund will be granted up to the third class. No refunds will be granted after the third class. All fees are non-refundable.

FIRST CLASS
Returning students will be provisionally placed in class based on an evaluation from the previous academic year. However, the teacher has the authority to reassign a class level, following an evaluation of the student's first class.

ABSENCES
Good attendance is imperative to a dancer's progress. The School at Steps administration and faculty appreciate advance notice of necessary absences. Students will be allowed four make-up classes at or below their level. Students with inconsistent attendance may be dismissed from their class and/or moved to another class.

TARDINESS
The slow warm-up of muscles is crucial to the prevention of injury. Students more than 10 minutes late may be asked by their teacher to sit and observe the class.

CLASS CHANGES
A student cannot change classes and/or move to another level unless approved by the administrative staff. Students are allowed, without charge, one class change. Any additional changes will access a $25.00 service fee.

INJURY OR LOSS OF PROPERTY
The risk of injury exists in any physical activity. Please consider this before enrolling your child. Steps cannot be held responsible for personal injury or loss of property. Personal possessions should not be left in dressing rooms or restrooms under any circumstances.

STEPS ON BROADWAY PHOTOGRAPHERS MAY TAKE PHOTOS AND/OR VIDEOS
In registering your child, we have your permission to use class or performance photos for the marketing of Steps on Broadway and/or The School at Steps. If you object, please submit your objection in writing at the time of registration. Parents may only take photos or videos on observation days with the approval of the each individual instructor.

Men's & Women's Changing Rooms are complete with showers
