Application Process

Items to be included in your application packet:

  • Completed application checklist
  • Completed application form
  • Dance resume
  • Letter of introduction, stating your reasons for choosing Steps on Broadway and your plans for your future in dance.
  • Letter of recommendation from a dance instructor or mentor.
  • DVD or web link demonstrating your classroom technique and a solo which highlights your musicality and dance quality. SOLO MUST BE IN YOUR CHOSEN FOCUS (no longer than 3 minutes in length)
  • One passport sized photograph
  • Non-refundable $50 application fee payable by credit card (Visa or MC), money order or travelers checks in U.S. dollars.

Students must be sure that they have sufficient funding for the duration of a two-year course of study.

Incomplete application packets will not be accepted.

Acceptance
Steps on Broadway will notify you, via email, of your acceptance into the program within two weeks after receiving your completed application. All students in the program must attend orientation, and take a placement class in their choice of focus to determine the level of study for their Mandatory classes. The Program Director will advise each student on appropriate elective classes.
