Course of Study

Each student, with the guidance of the Program Director, will design an individualized course of study comprised of 48 classes per month.

Students may choose from the following dance focuses:
Ballet
Contemporary
Theater Dance/Jazz
Hip Hop
Tap

Each focus will consist of twelve (12) classes per week. Eight (8) mandatory classes and four (4) electives*

Mandatory classes include:
• Six (6) classes in your Focus
• One (1) Body Work class+
• One Ballet and/or Floor Barre
• Four (4) electives*

+ Body Work = Pilates, Gyrokinesis®, Yoga

* Electives = Any class from the roster of daily scheduled classes

Mandatory classes will be taught by the Professional Training Program faculty

Semester Dates:

Spring Semester 2012
January 30 – June 8, 2012 (Application Deadline: November 18, 2011)
Eighteen (18) weeks of study plus one (1) week of vacation

Fall Semester 2012 – 2013
September 4, 2012 – January 25, 2013 – (Application Deadline: July 20, 2012)
Eighteen (18) weeks of study plus three (3) weeks of vacation during the holidays

Spring Semester 2013
January 28 – June 7, 2013
(Application Deadline: November 17, 2012)
Eighteen (18) weeks of study plus one (1) week of vacation

Fall Semester 2013 – 2014
September 3, 2013 – January 24, 2014 (Application Deadline: July 1, 2013)
Eighteen (18) weeks of study plus three (3) weeks of vacation during the holidays

Applications will only be accepted for the Fall Semesters with the exception of January 2012.

Applicants will be required to participate in four (4) consecutive semesters.

School Policies
All student are required to maintain proper etiquette in the classroom and on the premises. Failure to do so will result in dismissal from the program.
