Nicholas Palmquist is an internationally recognised teacher and choreographer,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a freelance dancer in New York City, his eclectic work experience has ranged from films like In The Heights<\/em> and episodes of SNL<\/em>, The Tonight Show<\/em>, and Netflix Original Series; to live performances with American Dance Machine, on the Tony Awards, and with the Radio City Rockettes. Nicholas and his movement have been featured in Vogue<\/em> Magazine, CFDAxVogue Gala, Numero China, Dance Magazine<\/em>, Dance Teacher Magazine<\/em>, Pointe Magazine<\/em>, Tanz Magazine<\/em>, Vogue Mexico<\/em>, Nordstrom, Kenzo, Zalando, and at NYFW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He has taught Masterclasses with Juilliard, NYU, ABT Studio Company and JKO, Mozarteum University Salzburg, Joffrey Ballet, Monterrey International Ballet Gala, Henny Jurriens Amsterdam, and annual workshops at Orsolina 28 in Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He continues to develop his genre bending movement language, and In addition to his world-famous classes at Steps on Broadway in New York City, Nicholas has accepted invitations to teach in Italy, Spain, the Philippines, France, London, Germany, Brazil, Austria, Mexico, Sweden, Russia, Poland, Paraguay, Shanghai, Japan, Slovakia, Sweden, and Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n While living abroad, Nicholas has created world premieres with Semperoper Ballett, Ballett x Schwerin, and Palucca University. Nicholas likes to pull from different mediums of dance to create new ways of story telling, highlighting the humanity in dance and in dancers. He aims for a fresh and also nostalgic relationship with musicality that celebrates nuance. He likes to challenge his dancers to explore the scope of their expression by creating emotional and intimate conversations as well as explosive, joyful articulations that move!
