Between Classes – 11.9.17

November 9, 2017

Don’t get caught at the barre not knowing the latest news! Between Classes is your ultimate guide to all things arts and pop culture. Every Thursday, you can expect a total rundown of the latest happenings and we’ll provide you with the best weekend plans. Let’s get started, shall we?

Tiler Peck, principal dancer with the New York City Ballet, danced her heart out on Ellen as the first Ballerina EVER to appear on the show. She was stunning, as always, and we just can’t get enough!

Stranger Things AND a Dance Battle? Somebody pinch me. The boys of the Netflix phenomenon took to the Tonight Show stage in an epic battle of ST-themed moves. Watch and learn, kids.

The 91st Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is just weeks away and the performer lineup has been announced. This event never disappoints, with its star studded musical guests and Broadway numbers. This year will be no exception. So, grab some turkey and get cozy, it’s parade time!

For your tiny dancers (Brought to you by The School at Steps):

The 12th Annual Latin American Cultural Week is November 10-19, 2017 in New York City. In celebration, there are all kinds of events great for the whole family, showcasing dance, music, literature, theater, film and more. With so many things to choose from, you are sure to find one that will entertain and inspire you. Check out the calendar for details about all of the events!

It’s only November, but we are starting to crave some gingerbread cookies. November 11, 2017-January 15, 2018, head over to the New York Hall of Science to see Gingerbread Lane. The huge, Guinness World Record breaking display of beautifully decorated and homemade gingerbread houses is here! The entire exhibit is created over the course of a year by master chef/creator Jon Lovitch. It must be seen to be believed. Pure fun!

Enjoy your weekend. See you next week!
