Alex Sanchez

Alex Sanchez (Choreographer) most recently choreographed Guys and Dolls for Goodspeed Opera (Connecticut Circle Award nomination for Best Choreography). New York choreography: Far From Heaven (Playwrights Horizon), Fiorello and Where's Charley? (City Center Encores!), Giant (The Public Theater - Lucille Lortel nomination), Red Eye of Love (Dicapo Theatre).

His regional credits include Guys and Dolls (Goodspeed Opera House), Follies (Chicago Shakespeare Theatre - Broadway World Award & Joseph Jefferson Nomination), Far From Heaven (Williamstown Theater Festival), Roman Holiday (Guthrie), 42nd Street (Stratford Shakespeare Festival, Broadway World Award), Giant (Dallas Theater Center), Camelot (Glimmerglass Opera), Mary Poppins, Aladdin and The Little Mermaid (St. Louis Muny), On the Town and Mary Poppins (Marriott Theater), West Side Story (Riverside Theater & Woodminster Amphitheatre), A Little Night Music (Berkshire Theater Group), The Little Mermaid (Alabama Shakespeare Festival), and In the Mood (National Tour Revue).

Mr. Sanchez was a soloist with Ballet Chicago & Ruth Page Ballet. On Broadway, he performed in the original cast of The Red Shoes, Carousel (Broadway Revival), Big The Musical, Fosse, Follies (1st Broadway Revival), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and Chita Rivera The Dancer's Life. Other Broadway credits include Once Upon A Matress, Love! Valor! Compassion!, and Wonderful Town. Teaching credits include ballet faculty member at New Jersey Ballet School, and ballet & jazz faculty member of Oakland School For The Arts. He has also been guest teacher at Jacobs Pillow Jazz Intensive, NYU Tisch, Pace University, and Southern Methodist University.
