Class Description
Kaba aims to reach a new generation of dancers with a mixture of African street and social dances performed to African Pop music integrated with influences from the Caribbean. Kaba sees the Afro'Dance New York brand as encompassing more than just dance and choreography. For her, it's about connecting the original cultural journey of the popular AfroDances to everyday people, the industry, as well as making sure people understand some of the nuances in the movements. Her goal is to help preserve the dance culture and its integrity and to harness the power as it gets more popular. She connects the original names, and proper ways of doing certain steps, along with differences by region in the nuances of the movements in an authentic and easy-tounderstand way. Angel feels it is important to have ownership of how the cultural narrative through the arts has reflected the world. Her specialty is elevating brand experiences and bringing together creators and audiences worldwide for amazing dance, films, and dialogue for an allaround fun interactive, and educational experience.
