Anna's contemporary jazz class is athletic, flowing and springs from her eclectic background and passion for different styles of dance and theater. Music and emotions are the starting point of her movement.

The warm up is strongly based on Pilates and Yoga and gears towards the strengthening of the core, lengthening and strengthening of all muscle groups and increase of range of motion. It strives to create a perfect equilibrium between strength and flexibility in order to improve balance and efficiency of movement. It starts with a floor work followed by a center barre work aiming at moving the body in all possible ways while focusing on alignment and technique.

Yoga Pilates Fusion Class
"Whole Body Flow" description

Wholebodyflow is a fusion of elements of Pilates, Yoga and athleticism.

It focuses on achieving perfect body alignment and biomechanics. The flow is designed to help relieve tension before strengthening and lengthening, to achieve balance between flexibility and strength and between speed and stamina. A body in perfect balance will be able to avoid injuries, energy leaks and maximize the movement outcome.

Very often there is a tendency to put more effort in making a certain movement "look good" or in sharpen skills without having yet achieved a balanced conditioned body.

This flow builds from simple but very effective movement patterns meant to activate and elongate key muscles that will help to better execute the more complex and challenging movements towards the end of the class.

The class ends with "Flowography", a series of linked yoga inspired movements to further challenge and energize the body. Through this class, dancers will be able to learn how to safely and efficiently move their body in many ways.
