JoDe Romano "LaChispa"

Intermediate Flamenco
For over 20 years Ms. Romano studied, lived & performed Spanish dance in Spain and Japan and was a soloist & choreographer with the Jose Greco Dance Co. International tours & three seasons at the Joyce theatre.

She is a graduate and instructor at the high school for the performing arts in Houston, Texas and has appeared as a featured dancer in the Houston Grand Opera's Carmen.

Ms. Romano danced in the Franco Zeffirelli original production of Carmen at New York's Metropolitan opera, before then president Clinton, staring Placido Domingo. She also toured Japan with the production.

JoDe Romano has taught Flamenco in NYC for many years. She was a guest teaching artist at Hunter College and taught a DEL work shop at the 92Y.
