Katie Walker
Katie Walker attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts from 8th grade through high school graduation with a major in Ballet. She spent her summers training at American Ballet Theater, Boston Ballet, Houston Ballet and Kaatsbaan Ballet. Upon graduation, Katie joined Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet in NYC as an artist.

In 2008, Katie became a Radio City Rockette and in her 15 years as a Rockette, has held the role of assistant dance captain, swing, dance captain and assistant choreographer. As a Rockette, Katie performed at The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, The Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting, America's Got Talent, The Annual White House Christmas Party and The Today Show. In 2015 and 2016, Katie helped create and stage the NY Spring Spectacular and the NY Spectacular alongside Warren Carlyle and Mia Michaels. As an assistant choreographer, Katie helped direct and choreograph for the The Tony Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, USO Partnership Performances, America's Got Talent, The Kacey Musgraves Christmas Special and a Hallmark Channel Movie A Holiday Spectacular.

Katie founded Elevate Ballet in 2022 (www.elevateballet.com), a company that focuses on ballet training for aspiring Rockettes, jazz, Broadway and musical theater dancers. She is the co-founder of The Precision Dance Collective (www.precisiondancecollective.com) which hosts monthly workshops and annual performances with a focus on precision dance training.

Katie is currently a choreographer in New York City. Her work was recently performed for Jazz Choreography Enterprises Spring Showcase. When not teaching or choreographing, she can be found running around New Jersey with her 3 little kids.
