Tommy Wasiuta

Tommy Wasiuta, described as a "breath of dance freedom" (New York Times) is a New York City based tap dance performer, choreographer, and educator. His early training was under Anthony Russo and Tracy Davenport in St. Charles, MO. In 2017, he attended the Tap Program at the School at Jacob's Pillow directed by Dormeshia and Michelle Dorrance. Tommy is a founding member of the St. Louis Rhythm Collaborative (STLRC) and was a choreographer and performer in its debut performance of "In Due Time," a tribute to the Dave Brubeck Quartet. In 2021, he released the album "EBTKS Feet. Tommy Wasiuta" in collaboration with saxophonist Tanner Caldwell.
After graduating from the University of Missouri - St. Louis, Tommy relocated to New York City. He has since performed with Max Pollak, Michela Marino Lerman at The Joyce Theater, and Luke Hickey at Chelsea Factory and Little Island's Music and Dance Festival. Tommy is proud to share his love for tap dance across the country. He is on faculty at Steps on Broadway, Common Ground, and the King Centre for the Performing Arts. He also tours with Beyond the Stars Dance Convention and has been on faculty with Joffrey Ballet Tap Intensive, Swingin' into Summer Tap Festival, and the Center of Creative Arts (COCA).
