Thibaut Brown

Thibaut is a professional dancer and choreographer from France. He received a scholarship to study at the Graham School of Contemporary Dance and the Ailey School in NYC. He trained there with the most accomplished teachers. During his time at Ailey, he had the opportunity to dance with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in its iconic work “Revelations” at the New York City Center and on National Television during the 2019 Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade.

He was an Apprentice of Parsons Dance and a company member of Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company, AriMDance, RudduRDance, Brooklyn Dance Festival Company and guest artist with Contemporary West Dance Theater in Las Vegas and IKADA Dance Company. He was also part for three consecutive years of Jacqulyn Buglisi’s 9/11 Table of Silence live streamed in all 50 states and in 129 countries around the world. Thibaut performed on French television, at the DUMBO Festival with Earl Mosley’s Hearts of Men Diversity of Dance, International Ballet Festival of Union City, Ballet Beyond Borders International Los Angeles and with the Fordham University as well as the Ivy League University Columbia.

He became Norbert de la Cruz III’s (Princess Grace Foundation USA Award, Dance Magazine 25 to watch) personal assistant and rehearsal director for his current and upcoming works around the USA, including for the Juilliard School, SUNY Purchase College, La Guardia High School or Point Park University.

He is an experienced Horton Teacher, and taught at the Ailey School in New York City, Harlem School of the Arts, Hawkins House of Horton in Chicago, Danceworks in London and London Studio Center. He is currently mentored by Ms. Ana Marie Forsythe, Ailey School Horton Department Chair and Co-author of “The Dance Technique of Lester Horton.” Thibaut additionally worked in various capacities for the Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation, Paul Taylor Dance Foundation and the Dance Magazine Awards 2019 and 2020.
