Website Visitors

At Steps on Broadway, we offer a variety of dance classes, workshops, and programs tailored for adults and children of all ages. However, we are committed to protecting the privacy of our young users.

We do not knowingly collect or maintain personal information from children under the age of 13 on our website, except in the following limited circumstances: If a child under 13 submits a question to us and discloses their age, we may use their email address solely to respond to that question on a one-time basis. Once we have responded, we will promptly delete the child’s email address from our records and will not use it to contact the child again.

For visitors under the age of 18 who wish to interact with us, we encourage them to seek parental assistance. Dancers aged 13 to 17 who wish to register for a Steps account, must provide their name but the parent or guardian’s email address during registration. We will then notify the parent or guardian via email about the teenager’s registration.

This policy underscores our commitment to safeguarding the privacy and security of children while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to Steps websites choose to interact with Steps in ways that require Steps to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that Steps gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who comment on our blog to provide a username and email address. Those who wish to receive Steps updates via email, we collect their emails. Those submitting Group Visit information forms supply information about their group information and needs. In each case, Steps collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with Steps. Steps does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.

Steps may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, Steps does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

There are various contact forms on our website. Visitors may use them to contact Steps employees, request information, fill-out photography disclaimers, fill-out group visit liability disclaimers and the like. Steps does not store any of that information on its servers for more time than is required to respond to those requests. Steps does not share any information submitted via it’s contact forms except where the visitor is requesting to be added to an e-mail list, which is maintained by Constant Contact.
