Summer Study NYC: Contemporary & Theater Dance Intensives
Study with New York’s most elite dance makers.
Summer Study NYC (SSNYC), presented by Steps on Broadway, is the premiere program for enhancing your dance training this summer. SSNYC is a 3-week program offering intermediate and advanced dancers (ages 18 & older) the opportunity to immerse themselves in New York’s concert and commercial dance worlds. Dancers will take a diverse course selection while choosing to concentrate on Theater/Jazz or Contemporary repertoire. The curriculum will focus on building strength, versatility, technique, and artistry under the instruction of the industry’s most sought-after teachers. By the end of the program, dancers will be stronger performers, make life-changing connections with world-renowned masters , and have immersed themselves into a community of artists that support and inspire each other.
A day in the life of an SSNYC student begins with technique classes designed to challenge the dancer while enhancing foundational technique. Afterwards, dancers will engage in supplemental experiences including mock auditions with agents, voice classes, and more. Throughout the program, dancers will learn repertoire from leading choreographers in preparation for a showcase at the end of the session.
