Amina Vargas

Amina Lydia Vargas was first introduced to dance by Assan Konte at the Kankouran West African Dance Company where she was a junior company member. She then went on to study at The Washington School of Ballet @ THEARC. In 2017, Amina became an alumna of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts. She continued her training at The Ailey School as a student in the Ailey/Fordham BFA and Scholarship Programs. Amina graduated in May 2021. In addition to being featured in the Netflix original series “Hit & Run”, Amina also represented The Ailey School at the 2019 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. She has performed works by Hope Boykin, Kevin Iega Jeff, Brice Mousset, Samantha Figgins, and alongside the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. She is excited to be assisting on this new project and joining the HB Dance team.
