Rebecca Tsivkin

Rebecca Tsivkin is a graduate and Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and an Associate of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), with more than 30 years of experience teaching classical ballet in pre-professional, collegiate, and professional settings.

She is currently on faculty at Steps on Broadway and the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City. Rebecca has taught company class for State Street Ballet and has been a guest faculty member for universities, professional training programs, and international workshops throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and the Middle East. She is also a longtime master teacher for Dance Teacher Summit and Dance Teacher Web and serves as Co-Founder and Director of International Dance Acclaim (IDA), an international ballet education and teacher-training organization.

Rebecca served as Head Children’s Instructor at the Gelsey Kirkland Academy and spent more than 15 years on the faculty of Ballet Hispánico. Her students have gone on to train and perform with leading schools, companies, Broadway productions, and freelance projects worldwide.

Rebecca’s teaching combines the precision of British classical training with a strong emphasis on functional alignment, musicality, and sustainable technique. Her classes are known for their clear progression, energetic pace, and supportive environment, helping dancers develop both technical confidence and artistic freedom.
