Jessica began her performance career upon moving to New York at age 18. Her professional journey started in the ballet world as a Corps de Ballet member with the Seiskaya Ballet and a Soloist with the Albano Ballet Company of America. There, she trained in the Legat system of Classical Ballet (stemming from the Russian Imperial Ballet) combined with Joseph Albano’s unique method: the Law of Centers and Theories of Rotors. This foundational training ignited her lifelong passion for understanding the body’s intricate mechanics and the science of movement.

Her extensive performing career includes Broadway and Off-Broadway credits in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Thou Shalt Not, CATS, and The Fartiste. She has also toured nationally and internationally with productions of Thoroughly Modern Millie (as Dance Captain), Swing!, CATS, On the Town, and Cabaret. Some of her most cherished performing roles include Rosie in Mamma Mia!, Maggie in A Chorus Line, Gloria in Damn Yankees, and Sarah in Civil War.

Beyond performing, Jessica is a dedicated educator. She has served on the faculty for the International College of Musical Theatre and has been a guest teacher at Wagner College and the Broadway Dreams Foundation. Her creative work extends to choreography, having co-created several ballets for the New Jersey Ballet Company and installed full-scale productions for Regent and Princess Cruise Lines.

Jessica is deeply passionate about empowering dancers as athletes, helping them strengthen, condition, and care for their bodies to meet the industry’s ever-evolving physical demands. As a NASM Certified Personal Trainer with additional specializations in Corrective Exercise, Women’s Fitness, and Pre/Postnatal training, plus a credential as a Certified Nutrition Coach (CNC), she brings a well-rounded, science-backed approach to functional movement and injury prevention. Formerly a Lead Teacher Trainer at Pure Barre FSA, she now serves as a Teacher Trainer at Movement Room Brooklyn, where she bridges the gap between fitness and sustainable performance for both dancers and everyday individuals.

Jessica is currently a judge on tour with New York City Dance Alliance and its sister company, ONY, cherishing the opportunity to support and encourage the next generation of artists.

Class Description:
This class is designed to help dancers and movers build intelligent strength, prevent injury, and perform with greater ease and control. We focus on practical, functional exercises that directly enhance your technique by improving the body’s foundational systems.

You will develop balanced strength and flexibility, learning to harness concepts like reciprocal inhibition and optimal length-tension relationships to move more efficiently. The class integrates strength training, mobility work, and functional patterns—all with the goal of supporting your performance longevity and precision, both in the studio and in everyday life.

It’s not just about getting stronger; it’s about building a resilient, well-understood instrument for dance.
