Originally from Australia, David Wynen is an internationally respected artist, educator, and choreographer whose career spans stage, screen, higher education, and professional musical theatre. A specialist in Tap Dance and Classic Jazz, David is widely recognized for his expertise in the Luigi Jazz Technique and proudly serves as an Education Officer for the official Luigi Jazz Certification Program.

An award-winning college professor and creator of the acclaimed Tap Rhythm Syllabus, David has dedicated his career to preserving the traditions of jazz and tap dance while inspiring the next generation of performers through innovative, high-level training. His teaching combines technical excellence with artistry, musicality, and theatrical storytelling.

David’s professional performance credits extend across television, film, opera, and theatre, including work with Opera Australia and international productions of 42nd Street and Billy Elliot in both Australia and the United States. Known for his dynamic teaching style and deep knowledge of Broadway dance traditions, David continues to work internationally as a master teacher, choreographer, and mentor.
