Jonathan Wade

Jonathan Wade is a professional contemporary dancer, choreographer, and educator based in the United States. A former company member of London’s Rambert, his career began at age four touring nationally with the Broadway musical Miss Saigon—a formative experience that sparked a lifelong passion for performance. His early training earned him numerous accolades, including being named a National YoungArts Winner in 2015.

Upon graduating high school, Wade spent four years as a full-time assistant with 24Seven Dance Convention, traveling across the U.S. to perform, assist, and instruct. After relocating to New York City, he completed an apprenticeship with Parsons Dance Company and participated in choreographic research with Hope Boykin and Lauren Lovette. During this period, he also attended Springboard Danse Montréal, performing works by Marco Goecke and Jason Mabana.

In 2021, Wade joined Rambert2 under the direction of Benoit Swan Pouffer, performing works by Sharon Eyal, Micaela Taylor, Andrea Miller, and Pouffer. Upon his promotion to Rambert’s main company the following year, he spent three seasons touring internationally in repertoire by Imre & Marne van Opstal, Wim Vandekybus, Alonzo King, Ben Duke, and Jill Johnson. His UK performance presence also earned him invitations as a featured guest artist at The British Ballet Charity Gala, hosted by Dame Darcey Bussell, in both 2021 and 2024.

Parallel to his concert dance career, Wade has built a prominent commercial portfolio. Highlights include performing alongside FKA Twigs at Vogue World, appearances at the BAFTAs, and dancing with Laura Mvula at the 2022 Commonwealth Games Closing Ceremony. He has collaborated with luxury brands such as Belmond and recently served as Dance Captain for a 2026 Hermes project.

As a choreographer, Wade has presented original work at Rambert’s The Loom platform and Eisenhower Dance Detroit’s NewDANCEfest. A dedicated master teacher, he has served on faculty for the Rambert Intensive, led company auditions across Europe, and taught dancers throughout the US, UK, Poland, India and Canada. Wade currently collaborates, performs, and teaches alongside his partner, Alex Soulliere, and is a current member of Roderick George’s kNoname Artist.
