Julia Kane

Julia Kane (she/her) is a Jazz and Contemporary teacher, choreographer, and dancer in NYC.
With a strong knowledge and training in technical Jazz, Ballet, and Modern, her style blends technical strength with an emphasis on open-hearted release and emotional authenticity. She is currently deepening her yoga practice through a 200-hour certification, and looks forward to continuing to integrate the mind/body connection in the studio.
Her dance company, Julia Kane Dance Collective, is philanthropically-based, and has presented four benefit shows since 2017. Only if for a Night (2025) and Cultivated Chaos (2019) were fully choreographed by Julia and performed by the company. Choreographers Collective (2024) featured JKDC, alongside 20 other choreographers, and (sun)BURST (2019) was half live dance, half documentary film highlighting other artists who have experienced a cancer diagnosis, and how that impacted their lives, art, and careers.
The company has donated over $15,000 while raising awareness for organizations like Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Drea’s Dream Dance Therapy Programming, the National Marrow Donor Program, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Sunrise Association, Stupid Cancer, and others.
