Abigail Rebekah
Abigail Rebekah is a performer, choreographer, and teacher currently based in New York City. She has her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Modern Dance from the University of Utah School of Dance and her 200-hr Yoga Teacher Certification with Yoga Alliance. She teaches a variety of open level Vinyasa Yoga classes (Halletts Point Pilates & Yoga), provides Private Yoga Coaching, and hosts open Yoga for Dancers classes in Manhattan. Abigail is passionate about movement and accessing full and stable use of the body through finding effective cross-training practices. Abigail was recognized as an Undergraduate Research Scholar for her thesis Movement for Actors: Practice, Performance, & Collaboration, and has since continued her research actively towards recent development of The Athletic Performer. Now she focuses on working with dancers and non-dancers alike to create maximum potential and ability with their personal bodies to have long-lasting careers, while effectively telling a story on the stage. Abigail has had the chance to teach movement workshops, dance classes, movement direct, and choreograph for Eastern Oregon University, Cornwell Dinner Theater, Union County Cultural Coalition, Festival Dance & Performing Arts, Troy Community Theatre, and others. abigail-rebekah.com @abbirebekah
