Akina Kitazawa

Akina is the Associate Choreographer for a new musical Bull Durham which is choreographed by Josh Bergasse (it will come to Paper Mill Playhouse in 2025-2026 season). As a performer, her credits include the Tony Award Winning Broadway production of NEW YORK, NEW YORK, directed and choreographed by Susan Stroman, for which she was also the Dance Captain. Akina was a featured soloist on the 2023 Tony Awards television broadcast.

Akina is originally from Tokyo, Japan. She started her career as a performer when she moved to NYC in 2016. She has worked on Broadway, off Broadway, at Radio City Music Hall, Carnegie Hall, National Tour and multiple regional theaters with Tony award-winning directors and choreographers.
