Alex Mitchell

Alex Mitchell is a colorful, queer creative based in New York City. With a passion for dance education, Alex’s bold choreographic voice has become a new and exciting force in the industry. As a performer, she has worked with Cosmopolitan Magazine, Six Flags, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, MTV, Pepsi and more. Her fusion style has been seen at events like Jay Armstrong Johnson’s I Put A Spell on You, Dumbo Dance Festival, Night of Life and Sybarite Love is Love. A proud alumni of The Young Choreographer’s Festival, she began working in theatre as Associate Choreographer of Billy Elliot at the Paramount Theatre in Aurora, IL and made her New York directorial debut with her dance narrative Our House. Most recently she choreographed RENT at the Encore Theatre in Dexter, Michigan. She is on faculty at Broadway Dance Center.
