Alexis Carra
Alexis Carra, of Cuban and Argentine descent and a graduate of Yale University with a Cum Laude B.A. in Theatre Studies, has been dancing since age 2. Broadway credits include: Wicked, Fosse (1st Nat’l Tour), Sweet Charity, and The Pirate Queen. Favoriate Regional roles: “Cassie” in A Chorus Line (3D Theatricals and San Diego Rep), “Louise/Gypsy” in Gypsy at Sacramento Music Circus, and numerous others. She has assisted both Wayne Cilento and Andy Blankenbuheler.
Upon leaving NYC she moved to LA and can be seen on shows like Grey’s Anatomy, NCIS, Anger Management and series regular roles on Mixology (ABC) and Recovery Road (Freeform). She recently recurred as “Sherry” in Fosse Verdon and was the lead in the Disney Christmas movie, Christmas Again.
Her choreography has been featured on the Discovery Channel, Bravo, and most recently she choreographed the pilot for the new HBO Series, Winning Time, directed by Adam McKay. Alexis taught at The Edge PAC in LA for over 10 years and started Millenium Dance Complex’s Theatre Jazz class this last year. Alexis has a 2 year old son and lives in Los Angeles and Tampa.
