- About Us
Over the past decade, the company has performed at renowned venues and festivals including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Met Breuer, Frieze Festival, Art Basel, Lincoln Center, BAM, The Kennedy Center, Jacob's Pillow, Spoleto USA, The Glass House, Grace Farms, SLS Hotel Miami and Las Vegas, Theatre National de Chaillot in Paris, and the Grand Theatre de la Ville de Luxembourg, among others, and for brands such as Hermès, Calvin Klein, and Lacoste. Gallim has made multiple appearances at The Joyce Theater since its debut as part of Joyce SoHo Presents in 2007.
Gallim Studio is also a nexus for creativity. Over the past two years, Gallim has expanded the programming at its Clinton Hill studio to include residency space grants for young and emerging artists across disciplines, master classes and open company class, and free public talks featuring interviews with dance world luminaries and influencers that delve into life as an artist and other relevant topics. New this season is SETLIST, curated evenings of dance and music showcasing works by artist-in-residence choreographers, plus a set by a musician/composer.
Gallim has received recognition from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation, The Harkness Foundation for Dance, Princess Grace Foundation-USA, The Shubert Foundation, Rockefeller Brothers Fund, and New York State Council on the Arts. It has also received awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, Mary Duke Biddle Foundation, New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, and the Office of the Brooklyn Borough President for its Brooklyn studio community programming.
