Caitlin Evans is a NYC-based performer, teacher, and choreographer. Originally from Seattle, WA, she graduated from Ball State University with a BFA in Musical Theatre.

Caitlin has taught and assisted in workshops and intensives in Seattle and NY for close to ten years, and was on tap and jazz faculty at Helen Hayes Youth Theatre for five years. She has choreographed over twelve musicals for Allenberry Playhouse, Actors Professional Theatre Conservatory, and Helen Hayes Youth Theatre, including 42nd Street, Anything Goes, The Drowsy Chaperone, and more. As a performer, her credits include Calamity Jane (Theatre Row), Anything Goes (Ogunquit Playhouse & Gateway Playhouse), Sweet Charity (Arizona Bway Theatre), Chicago (Allenberry Playhouse), Pippin (Legacy Theatre), and more, as well as performances throughout NYC with the NY Theatre Dance Ensemble.

She has worked closely with Kat Ponza as her assistant, as well as in her company rehearsals workshopping new choreography. Caitlin loves to share her passion and enthusiasm for tap dance through her classes, with a strong emphasis on storytelling, musicality, and embracing each student’s individual strengths as a performer.
