Carla Marano

Carla belongs to a generation of dancers who transformed the study of tango into an investigation of technique, communication and musical interpretation through dance.

She was an important part of the development of Tango Discovery, a teaching method created by Mauricio Castro. Years later, she created a new Study and Research space called “La Propuesta” with Octavio Fernandez. Some of the greatest dance masters from different disciplines offered their expertise to this project. The program traveled to schools around the United States and Europe.

Carla currently teaches at The Philadelphia Argentine Tango School, The Astoria Tango Club & School and Queer Tango Club in New York.
