DNA – Denys Drozdyuk and Antonina Skobina are Ukrainian born ballroom dance duet living in New York. They are known as DNA – a name under which they participated on NBC’s TV show “World of Dance” on Seasons 1&2. They are x3-Time USA National Ballroom Dance Champions, World Championship Finalists, Blackpool Dance Festival winners, as well as the winners of all major ballroom dance competitions in the United States. Most recently they were the finalists on Canada’s favorite dance TV Show Revolution.

Denys and Antonina perform in many prestigious Dance Galas and Festivals around the world, some of which have never seen ballroom dance before. Denys & Antonina are also frequent performers with “Stars of American Ballet” company.

Denys graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance from the Juilliard School, and holds a Master of Arts degree in Dance Education from New York University. He is also the winner of “So You Think You Can Dance” Canada. Antonina is a graduate of New York Film Academy in New York. In 2022 they became the first ever ballroom dancers to be awarded the NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship Award in Choreography. They also have been awarded the CUNY Dance Initiative Residency and the Green Box Arts Residency.

Most recently, Denys & Antonina have opened their own school – “DNA Dance Academy” – a Ballroom dance school which offers high quality Ballroom dance classes in New York City.

Denys and Antonina give dance masterclasses and workshops around the world in many reputable institutions including The Juilliard School, ABT Studio Company, Manhattan Youth Ballet, and many others. They are also reputable choreographers and have choreographed for the Juilliard School, NBC’s World of Dance, and for many other projects. Additionally, Denys is an Adjunct Professor of Dance at the University of Mount Saint Vincent and Wagner College in New York where he teaches dance and mentors students.

Denys & Antonina are known for their unique fusion show dance performances where they incorporate numerous dance styles. It is their mission to keep developing Ballroom Dance as a Performing Art and to show that it can contribute in a very positive way to the United States and global culture.
