Headshot Donterreo Culp

Donterreo Culp began his training at I-Live Center of the Arts in Kingsland, Georgia. He graduated from East Carolina University in 2019 with a BFA in Dance, concentrating in Performance and Choreography, accompanied by a minor in Business Administration. While at East Carolina, he was fortunate enough to receive the Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Award allowing him to produce an evening’s length work. After graduating, Donterreo moved to New York City where he spent the last 3 years with Nimbus Dance. During his time with the company, he performed works by Sofia Nappi, Kristen Klein, Dawn Marie Bazemore and Samuel Pot. Throughout the School of Nimbus and its outreach communities, Donterreo has been gifted the opportunities to expand his love of teaching. Additionally trained at the Trinity Laban London Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where he studied dance science and technique, Donterreo is also an alumni of Springboard Danse Montréal. There he worked closely with choreographers Kyle Abraham and Alanna Morris. His performance opportunities continue with choreographers David Ingram, Tommi Galaska, John Dixon, Jennifer Archibald, Richard Smith and many others. Donterreo is currently freelancing, in hopes to work with other artists who push the boundaries of what is possible and create works that are true and authentic.
