Gary Reagan is a dancer and choreographer from Linfield, Pennsylvania who currently resides in NY as a freelance dance artist and choreographer. He currently is a dance artist with GALLIM Dance Company.

Gary was trained in ballet, modern, jazz, and hip-hop while growing up in Pennsylvania and he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A) in Dance from The University of the Arts in 2015. While in college he trained more specifically in ballet, modern, improvisation, choreography composition, and dance performance, as well as performed in works by Mark Caserta, Netta Yerushalmy, Sidra Bell, and Sharon Eyal. He has received additional international training from Centre National de la Danse, Royal Conservatoire Antwerp, and The Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.

Gary has professionally worked in contemporary concert dance and commercial dance for the past 7 years. Dancing for Ate9 Dance Company, GALLIM Dance Company, Sharon Vazanna, Andrea Costanzo Martini, and Roy Assaf, as well as for musical artists including Jarina DeMarco, Miya Folick, Vance Joy, and Sylvan Esso. He has been in dance films directed by Sarah C. Prinz and Angelo Vasta. He is also a dance teacher with experience in teaching contemporary, jazz, modern, and improvisation techniques to all age levels.

Gary has presented his own works, as a choreographer, in New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Antwerp, Paris, and Tel Aviv.

Gary’s movement style is influenced by the body’s response to energy flow and the force of music. Through improvisations, these ideas are heavily explored to create work that is dynamic and intuitive.
