Jeanne Reilly
Jeanne Reilly is an acupuncturist, bodyworker, and movement teacher. She first discovered Gyrokinesis® as a young dancer, and has taught the method for nearly two decades. After more traditional methods failed to fully rehabilitate some stubborn injuries, she was amazed to find complete healing – along with a newfound freedom of movement – from regular Gyrokinesis® practice. Through study with Leda Franklin, Jeanne became certified to teach Gyrotonic (Level 1 and 2, as well as most specialized equipment) and Gyrokinesis® in 2003/2004, and spent many years teaching in studios, private practice, and classes at Steps on Broadway. She has also studied Pilates with Kelly Kane, PNF and Functional Anatomy with Irene Dowd, BodyMind Centering with Amy Matthews, and body reading with Tom Myers. She currently has a private acupuncture and bodywork practice, where she continues to apply the principles of Gyrokinesis® to facilitate healing for dancers and lay people alike. Jeanne is an alumni of Tri-State College of Acupuncture, Barnard College, and the Joffrey Ballet School.
