Lacy Phillips
Lacy Darryl Phillips is an accomplished Performer, Recording Artist, Choreographer, Creative Director, Music Producer, Songwriter, Teacher, Host & DJ.
At the age of 9 Lacy performed in his first professional show Miss Moffat with Bette Davis. Under Mentor Debbie Allen, Lacy assisted and performed in A Different World, The Academy Awards, Sammy Davis Jr. 60th Anniversary Tribute, Polly I & II for Disney and the CBS T.V. Movie Stompin’ At The Savoy. Lacy toured the United States and appeared on Broadway in Raisin starring as Travis Younger, Sophisticated Ladies starring Gregory Hines, Bob Fosse’s Dancin, Anything Goes starring Patti Lupone, Sweet Charity starring Debbie Allen, Me Amd Mrs. Jones starring Lou Rawls & Darlene Love, Play On, FOSSE and “Broadway: The American Musical” for PBS.
Mr. Phillips choreographed and staged the National Tour of The Wiz starring Grace Jones and Peabo Bryson, was Associate Director/Choreographer for the Mariah Carey Around The World Tour and Assistant Director/Choreographer for Signed, Sealed, Delivered (A Celebration Of Stevie Wonder ) at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas starring Chaka Khan, Peabo Bryson and Melissa Manchester.
He most recently, choreographed/ and was a featured performer in For All My Girls in NYC, appeared at Carnegie Hall’s 100 Years Of Black Men On Broadway, and starred in the ICT/Long Beach Performing Arts Center’s Production of Ain’t Misbehavin. He is currently the Creator/Producer of The Ultimate Underground Experience, a global music, arts and education project. In its 10th season, he is also the Host/DJ of his weekly radio podcast program The Underground Experience with Uncle Earl, which airs on KLED Live FM Los Angeles, iTunes, Podomatic and Ultimate Underground Website.
