Lo Poppy

Lo Poppy is a queer, multifaceted Experimentalist based in movement practices. They deconstruct familiarity by infusing dreamscapes and alternate realities. Inspired by humanness and imagination, the crux of their work embodies play, instinct and integrity. They have performed and choreographed in America, Europe and Scandinavia since 2015 with various companies, including Pa Ta Hev in Oslo, Norway, and the Nitrogen Company based in New York. They hold a BFA in Dance from Tisch School of the Arts, and have worked as an Adjunct Instructor for the Tisch Summer High School Program and BFA Dance Program at NYU. In 2023, Lo initiated the New York based Fluid Creature Collective and is the Creative Director and Choreographer. They’ve presented at The Deans Tisch Orientation at The Town Hall, Steps Beyond Foundation: Choreography Lab, and Green Space: Digging in Group Residency. Lo is currently creating with The Steps Conservatory Program, and is incredibly grateful to share space with such a vibrant community of Artists and Creators.
