Maren Westgard

Maren Westgard is an actress, choreographer, and yoga teacher based in Brooklyn.

She holds a BA in Dance from Wesleyan University, which serves as the basis for her interest in intuitive movement and mind-body connection. Following her desire to spread her knowledge and appreciation of movement, Maren completed her yoga teacher training at Arise Yoga in Brooklyn in 2023.

Her approach to yoga centers awareness, intuitive movement, and bodily agency. Yoga is used as a meeting point between you and your body as a space of restoration and resilience. Maren’s practice honors the origins of yoga and its philosophy rooted in inter-connectedness. Her yoga teaching is also influenced by her studies in performance-based movement, including Alexander Technique and Contact Improvisation.

Maren currently attends the Stella Adler 3-Year Conservatory.
